Drama As C'River Sacks Three Beauty Queens, Names New One

Belle'Sabel Grooming Agency (BGA), last weekend, took everyone by surprise when it named Precious Brendan Omini, 20, as its new acting Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG) after it serially suspended three of its beauty queens on grounds of gross misconduct, following allegations levelled against them.
Omini's enthronement comes on the heels of what could be described as a season of queenly suspension after Victoria Ana, Christy Annie, and Favour Ezeh, were temporarily stripped of their crowns within a space of two days, and asked to step aside pending when they are able to clear themselves of allegations against them.
Until their suspension, Ana was the overall CRMBG queen; Annie was CRMBG Tourism while Ezeh was CRMBG Culture and Heritage.
While Ana and Ezeh went down on grounds of allegations of showing disrespect for their offices and keeping late nights; Annie is said to have consistently used her title to make appearances at events without due consent from her management, behaviours BGA argues, portrays CRMBG in bad light, hence their dethronement.
When Ana and Ezeh were stripped bare of their crowns, this brewed frenzy in many quarters that Annie, the first runner up of the pageant, would succeed her as acting queen, but in another suspense-filled-movie-style-twist, BGA has wowed those who have been following up with trends of the episodes of suspension to announce Omini their new acting queen.
Until her new position, Omini is a well revered top model in Nigeria, which earned her CRMBG Model of the Year at the just-concluded prestigious CRMBG event which held in Calabar, the state capital.
As it stands, if Ana fails to prove her innocence, it goes effortlessly that Omini will turn out to represent CRMBG at the renown Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant come November, this year.
In the same vein, Jennifer Udofia is now the new acting CRMBG Tourism.
Commenting of the development, the CEO of prestigious Face of Independence Nigeria (FOIN), Miss Catherine Eriom, who spoke through her publicist, commended BGA for the step taken so far, arguing that taking disciplinary action on titled queens would sanitize the system.
The management of CRMBG through Cross River Studios, its publicist said it is planning to announce its acting queen soonest.
It would be recalled that barely two days after it suspended two of its prominent queens, Belle’Sabel Grooming Agency (BGA), the organizers of the prestigious Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG), had announced the suspension of Christy Annie, who is CROSS RIVER MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL TOURISM 2016, thereby entering the world’s book of records as the first pageant management firm to have serially suspended three of its titled queens at a stretch, a move many practitioners in the pageant industry see as discipline at very high ebb.
