Gunmen Raze Ex-Rivers Lawmaker's Country Home

It has now been independently confirmed that unknown gunmen, Thursday, invaded the home of former Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd in Akpabu Community of Emohua Local Government Area.
The gunmen also burnt the home of the former leader of Rivers State House of Assembly.
The former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon ChidI Lloyd, confirmed this to newsmen in Port Harcourt.
Lloyd said the gunmen, who were dressed in military uniform, stormed his home riding on 10 motorcycles.
He said the gunmen, who were well armed, burnt down buildings in his compound.
The former lawmaker said that he will only confirm the attack on his country home in Akpabu, but added that further will not be given to allow security agencies to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the country home of the former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The state command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the attack in an interview in Port Harcourt.
The police PRO, however, said that details of the attack on Lloyd’s building are still sketchy.
He promised to give further details on the attack in due course.
